When you start your pond, remember the most important thing to do is get a good strong pond liner.  You don't want to develop any holes that would drain your pond.

Having a good pond pump for your backyard pond can do a lot of work. Not only can it draw the water through your pond filter, it can also supply the water for your waterfall.
