Introduction
The pond filter media that I am going to tell you about on this page is
a product that I have been using since day one of having a pond. It's a
polyester fiber material that is absolutely fish safe and pond plant
safe and does an excellent job at trapping debris.
Filtration Of Your Pond Explained:
Everyone wants nice clear water in their pond and sometimes it's
difficult to achieve if you do things the wrong way. Really it's pretty
simple to do. Basically there are two things you need to do. 1.) You
need to have a pond filter, hopefully my homemade pond filter, along
with some decent filter media, and 2.) A UV sterilizer or sometimes
called a UV filter.
The combination of these two pieces of the puzzle will guarantee you a
nice, clear pond. Granted, when you get those long spells of very hot
days, your water will cloud up a little and maybe even get a little
green, however without these two products, your pond will look like pea
soup.
One of the goals on this site is to try and lead you in the right
direction when it comes to having a great looking pond. I'm not going to
promote things that you don't need such as chemicals. I have never used
any chemicals in our pond, and never will. The goal should be to try and
keep it as natural as you can. As I mentioned earlier, this pond filter
media is chemical free and fish safe. A lot of our fish are going on 7
or 8 years old and they're doing great. I'm trying to show you what
works, so you too can have success.
Another great thing about this pond filter media is once you have
changed it or cleaned it a few times and your pond begins to clear,
you'll be able to use the filter media for much longer periods of time
and then it behaves as a bio filter. This is good for the water; really
it's necessary for a healthy pond. (Please, don't get sucked into buying
these big expensive bio filters. It's not necessary!)
A Little Side Note:
Granted, I really don't want you to leave my site, however please
bookmark my site, so you can come back, and go out to places like eBay
and price this pond filter media that I am offering... I think you'll be
back. Don't get ripped off! Compare prices and the quality of the
material.
Satisfaction Guarantee:
If you feel that you don't like this pond filter media, just send back
any unused rolls for a full refund, no questions asked, however I think
you'll be amazed at how well it traps debris. I don't have anything to
hide, if you don't like anything you buy from me, send it back (unused)
and I'll give you a refund. No problems, no hard feelings. Just look at
the before and after pictures on the homemade pond filter page. I don't
want you to have any surprises, I just want you to be pleased with the
products I offer. That's just the way I was brought up.
The perfect size roll to have for my homemade filter is 8" wide x 1"
